Branson’s Famous Baldknobbers, featuring the Mabe family, is a country music and comedy variety show in Branson, Missouri performing at the new Branson Famous Theatre. The Mabe family began the Branson family entertainment phenomenon 58 years ago in 1959.

The Mabe Brothers began performing for visiting fishermen on the shores of Lake Taneycomo in 1959, establishing the first and longest running show in Branson, Missouri – now touted as the live entertainment capital of the world!

Their roots are firmly established in Ozark Mountain Country, providing entertainment on opening day for a little theme park named Silver Dollar City, and as members of the original cast of the Shepherd of the Hills.

The Baldknobbers name is actually a historical reference from the region, a vigilante group that met on treeless hilltops, bald knobs, and donned masks to hand out their Ozark justice.

The Mabe brothers established a live music formula that is often imitated but never replicated. A fast-paced blend of music and comedy that features authentic gospel, passionate patriotism and unashamedly country music with 100% live vocals and instrumentation.

Throughout the years the Mabe family has been one of the regions leading ambassadors, taking the show on the road and encouraging audiences across the country to come to Branson, Missouri.

With Branson’s Famous Baldknobbers, the family continues to wow audiences as the second and third generations add their own flare to the family legacy. Their perfect blend of country music, gospel music and comedy will keep you at the edge of your seat and roaring with laughter all night long.
