Veterans Homecoming Week 2021 | Branson, Missouri

The city of Branson, Missouri, is known for many things including shows, entertainment, fun attractions, festive events, and — most importantly — for honoring Veterans!

Branson and its residents, visitors, and performers honor Veterans not just once a year but every day through special tributes, parades, events, discounts, and reunions.

Veteran’s Homecoming Week is specially set aside every year from November 5 – 11 to honor, thank, and pay tribute to our nation’s Veterans and their families.

November 5-10

Veterans Village

Veterans Village at the Ballparks of America Complex attracts thousands of veterans, active military, and first responders every year during the annual Veterans Week in Branson. This 5-day event includes patriotic vendors, a mess hall, and is really the gathering spot for group photos and gatherings.

11:30 AM – 1:30 PM

November 5

“Vets for Vets” at Americana Theatre 

Breaking in Branson’s Veterans Week is the Vets for Vets USO-style performance at the Americana Theatre. The show starts at 2 PM and is a FREE event for veterans and their families. Tickets are not required, but seating is limited (so first come, first serve).

November 6

Mel’s Hard Luck Diner

8:30 AM – 10 AM: Mel’s Hard Luck Diner at the Grand Village will provide a FREE breakfast for those who have served in the Gulf War or after. Call 870-421-3511 to RSVP.

Vietnam Vets Reunion 

From Noon until about 3 PM, Stone Castle Hotel will host a Vietnam Vets Reunion as well as serve a hot lunch, have prize giveaways, offer entertainment, and have a time set aside for catching up. To RSVP, call Dee at 870-421-3511.

November 7

Sunday Worship Service

Join Barbara Fairchild, and her husband Roy Morris, for a memorable morning of worship at the Baldknobbers Theatre. Admission is FREE, but donations are appreciated.

Homefront Hero’s Spouses Luncheon 

Another day set aside at the Stone Castle Hotel for Veterans and their families from 1 PM – 3 PM.  There will be entertainment, lunch, gifts, and door prizes! Call Dee at 870-421-3511 to RSVP.

November 8

Veterans Show

The Hot Rods & High Heels show at the Clay Cooper Theatre will cost $18 total per person. That amount will reserve a seat for lunch and the showing of the Veterans Show; however — there is no guarantee of seating for lunch and the afternoon performance if a ticket is not purchased in advance.

POW/MIA Service of Remembrance 

The POW/MIA Service of Remembrance is FREE and open to the public. This event will take place at the Welk Resort and will move inside if the weather is extreme. For more information, please call 417-336-4232.

WWII and Korean War Vets Mini-Reunion 

Stone Castle Hotel will have dessert, coffee, and door prizes 2 PM – 4 PM for NO charge. For more information, call Kathy and Mac at 417-230 -1282.

November 9

Navy Memorial Service

Attend the FREE annual Navy Memorial Service at the Westgate Resort, with things starting up at 8:30 AM. There will be coffee, entertainment, and a public bell tolling ceremony to honor the lives of Naval shipmates at 9 AM. Call Becky for information at 417-332-3557.

Gold Star, Silver Star & Blue Star Mother’s Afternoon Dessert 

“Mindfulness” by Shifu Jerry Erickson starts at 2:00 PM at the new Branson Heroes Taste + Taps Restaurant. Learn more when you call Rebecca at 618-308-2086.

25th Annual Military Gala & Banquet

One of Branson’s longest-running military salutes, the 25th Annual Military Gala & Banquet, is happening again this 2021 year at Chateau on the Lake from 5–11 pm. During this event, there will be a saluting of the 100th Anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown and Tomb Guards, outdoor fireworks, a private reception, and formal photographs.

All branches and all wars will be welcome (and the public is invited). Other events and happenings at this gala include a special dinner, USMC Birthday Cake Cutting, Dancing, a POW/MIA Candlelight Service, and Live Entertainment. After 5 PM, Business Attire, Uniforms, and Formal Wear is encouraged. Call 417-336-4232 to make your reservation (required).

Medics, Nurses, and Combat Vets Mini-Reunion 

Veterans are invited to join their brothers and sisters in arms for a time of fellowship at the Grand Pavilion at Westgate Resort from 2 PM–4 PM. Contact Becky at 417-332-3557 or at Becky_jewsbury@wgresorts.com for more information.

November 10

Veterans & Their Families FREE Breakfast

From 7 AM till 11 AM, a FREE breakfast buffet will be provided by Grandma’s Cafe and the American Legion Post 220.

12th Annual Tribute To The Veterans Show & Lunch at Branson Event Center 

Tribute Show co-hosted by Barbara Fairchild and Roy Morris: Mansion Theatre 8:30 AM–11 AM. The pre-show starts at 8:30 AM with the main show starting at 9 AM.

November 11

Veterans Day Sunrise Service

College of the Ozarks Patriotic Play “A Flight To Faith,” at 7 PM, Royal Oak Forum, (Keeter Center)

Annual Veterans Day Parade 

The 89th Annual Veterans Day Parade starts at 11 AM in Historic Downtown Branson.
