They’re having a legendary Christmas at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater with the World’s Greatest Live Tribute Show, Legends in Concert! At Legends, not only does every performer look like the legendary star they’re portraying, they use their own natural voices to bring them to life. Their 36th season features the King, Elvis Presley, the Man in Black, Johnny Cash, Ol’ Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra, the dynamic duo, The Blues Brothers™, and making a special appearance this holiday season, the most legendary of them all, Santa Claus! It’s a merry and bright celebration that pays tribute to the greatest performers of our time, and will ignite memories of Christmases long past, while you make new holiday memories with family and friends!
Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theatre is located right in the heart of Branson, along the famous 76 Strip. The Celebrity Car Museum is right next door, so make sure to arrive early to check out the display of iconic vehicles featured in movies and television shows that sits outside the theatre. You can even snap a picture with the Blues Brothers’™ 1974 Dodge Monaco, the Bluesmobile!
As soon as you step inside the theatre you’ll be transported back to simpler times. With a festively decorated lobby, featuring trees decked out in Elvis and Blues Brothers™ trimmings, and pictures of the greatest celebrity moments from American Bandstand’s glory days, it’s an instant boost of nostalgic holiday cheer. Visit their concession stand for treats like popcorn, candy, pizza, hot dogs, nachos, cinnamon glazed nuts, ice cream, and fountain drinks served in a complimentary souvenir cup, as well as beer and wine selections. You can also grab a bag of their famous caramel corn, the perfect theatre treat! If you attend a matinee performance, stick around after the show for their Legendary Wine Tasting. It’s only $10 for a tour of some amazing wines and you also receive an exclusive Legends in Concert wine glass.
Friendly ushers will help you find your seats, which have been staggered to maintain social distancing. Masks are required throughout the theatre, but audience members can remove them once they settle into their seats. They’ve also added hand sanitizing stations, frequent cleaning precautions, and other measures to keep audience members safe and healthy during their visit.
As the Legend’s curtain opens on their world-class theatrical sets, stunning costumes, and energetic choreography, you know you’re in for a treat! They start things off with a sparkling rendition of Here Comes Santa Claus featuring the jolly man in red himself, and a kickline of talented reindeer. The ensemble of dancers and backup singers that grace the stage through the show add spectacular energy, and will have you kicking up your heels in the audience! Each song is also accompanied by gorgeous visuals on the theatre’s three large screens, and dynamic lighting from their state of the art audiovisual systems. Featuring clips and photographs of the original artists, it’s a feast for the ears and eyes that will have you doing a double take!
When the Legends hit the stage, you simply won’t believe your eyes! Elvis will take you on a journey through his greatest hits (and most extravagant costumes!), including “Heartbreak Hotel”, “Suspicious Minds”, “All Shook Up”, and “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. Johnny Cash shares some “Folsom Prison Blues”, “A Boy Named Sue”, “Ring of Fire”, and a special salute to our nation’s veterans with “Ragged Old Flag”. The Blues Brothers™ come roaring onto the stage with their crowd pleasers “Gimme Some Lovin’”, “Mustang Sally”, “Soul Man”, and “Hey Bartender”. And Frank Sinatra charms with his beloved classics “Luck Be a Lady”, “Come Fly with Me”, “Got You Under My Skin”, and “My Way”. You’ll even enjoy a special duet between Elvis and Sinatra as they recreate their performance of “Witchcraft/Love Me Tender”.
Join each artist as they get festive with their favorite Christmas tunes, like Elvis’ “Blue Christmas”, Cash’s “Christmas With You”, Sinatra’s rendition of “A Marshmallow World”, and The Blues Brothers’™ “Elwood Got Run Over by a Reindeer”. It all builds to a spectacular finale, which touches on the reason for the season, and features falling snowflakes inside the theatre! It’s an unforgettable experience that will fill the hearts of young and old with carefree holiday cheer.
